Analogue research - new sources
The analogue visit to an antiquarian bookshop always holds surprises and sometimes provides more sources than digital research.
I had this experience yesterday when I visited the Kiel antiquarian bookshop Bücherwurm .
Of course, I also found Albrecht Dürer online and the Kiel treasure trove of pictures has been on my wish list for a long time.
In my previous – digital – research, the existence of the other two volumes has remained hidden from me.
Especially the almost inconspicuous booklet for the Kiel cover contains pictorial representations – for example of the Danish goal – which I have searched for in vain so far.
The illustrated books of medieval painters show details: furniture and other objects that provide me with good sources for reconstructions.
A tip that I owe to the video blog “Geschichtsfenster“.
